Reports to the Chief Steward.
Supports colleagues and the preparation of cuisine in hotel food and beverage operations.
Provides stewardship support at Fairmont Palliser.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional, friendly, and proactive service to guests and colleagues.
- Maintain safe and clean work areas and follow health and safety procedures.
- Follow food safety and hygiene policies and complete temperature records accurately.
- Clean and sanitize food and beverage work areas and equipment.
- Operate dishwashers and restock equipment throughout food and beverage areas.
- Maintain recycling and composting procedures.
- Assist the kitchen team with food service delivery as needed.
- Follow sustainability and food waste reduction or diversion procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- One year of experience in a similar position is an asset.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Have good knowledge of WHMIS.
- Work with and motivate a culturally diverse workforce.
- Bring an energetic, self-motivated, proactive, outgoing, and team-oriented approach.

- The role works in hotel kitchens, food and beverage back spaces, the staff cafeteria, and the Fairmont Gold Lounge.
- Follow all health, safety, food hygiene, sustainability, recycling, and composting procedures.
