Sterile Services Supervisor

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient decontamination, instrument assembly, and sterilization within predefined quality standards.
• Supervise delivery of clean and sterile instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and guidelines; keep staff informed and trained.
• Maintain and record departmental quality assurance records in accordance with the QMS.
• Contribute to management-team innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices.
• Support the Production Manager with operational planning and processes.

Required experience

• Good general education standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
• Basic end-user IT skills to operate a track-and-traceability IT system.
• Skills listed include flexibility, teamwork, integrity, working under pressure, accountability, and attention to detail.

Working pattern

• Training lasts 12 weeks, initially Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
• Thereafter, shifts rotate between 7am and 10pm, with weekend work approximately 50% of the time.

Compensation and benefits

• Annual salary of £30,134 plus a 5% performance bonus.
• Shift allowances may apply for overtime or unsociable hours; a higher cost-of-living allowance applies in London.
