Staff Software Engineer, Server System Software, Platforms Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Lead critical, high-impact software initiatives in a fast-paced environment, overseeing project priorities, deadlines, and core deliverables.
• Apply deep expertise across computer architecture, BIOS, firmware, kernel, and full-stack software to power and scale fleet-level infrastructure.
• Lead early system board bring-up, troubleshooting, triage, and data center deployment by developing automated tools for diagnostics, reliability, and performance evaluation.
• Coach, mentor, and influence a distributed team of engineers to elevate code quality, versatility, and overall engineering excellence.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align on goals, outcomes, and roadmaps, successfully executing engineering programs and driving continuous productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 8 years of experience in software development. - 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products. - 5 years of experience working with embedded operating systems. - 3 years of experience with software design and architecture. - Experience with C++, Linux, Shell Scripting, Python, Operating Systems, Bootloaders, Firmware, Leadership, Reliability. Preferred qualifications: - Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. - 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. - 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction. - 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects. - Experience in one or more of the following: Computer Architecture, Continuous Build, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Integration and GPU Drivers.
