Job Description
The Staff Quality & Reliability Engineer serves as an advocate for the voice of the customer and supports continuous improvement in product quality.
The role requires strong quality knowledge, systems engineering fundamentals, and the ability to challenge the status quo constructively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee product quality from product requirements document creation through production handover and sustaining phases.
- Define quality criteria and milestones and ensure conformance to quality plans.
- Assess quality risks in internal and external JIRAs and identify vulnerabilities.
- Align cross-functional teams on quality standards and objectives.
- Conduct post-mortems and lessons-learned analyses and implement improvements across sites and teams.
- Develop mitigation strategies using risk management frameworks such as FMEA.
- Participate in PRD, DFx, qualification syncs, test plans, and RDT activities.
- Identify product lifecycle inefficiencies and implement robust improvement actions.
- Embed quality standards and methodologies across operations.
- Use data analytics and evidence-based methods for decision-making and resolving contentions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
- Eight to ten years of certified professional experience in development, manufacturing or customer quality, design, or semiconductor engineering.
- Thorough understanding of the product lifecycle and process-gap identification.
- Exposure to factory processes and hands-on experience are advantageous.
