The role includes building new features and making architectural decisions to support increasing product usage.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Develop scalable, reliable data-visualization applications for large process, workflow, and metric data.
  • Build interfaces and real-time frontend services for collaborative graph editing and AI model retraining through user input.
  • Own projects end to end and collaborate with technical leads and product managers.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, cross-team product improvements, and implementation documentation.
  • Improve team and chapter processes; provide feedback through RFCs and code reviews and support colleagues' development.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding, and take operational responsibility for delivered work.

Who you are

  • At least eight years of software engineering experience and high engineering standards.
  • Strong React, state management, and front-end architecture experience, with deep knowledge of front-end performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of advanced system design, data structures, and data-intensive applications.
  • Minimum backend engineering knowledge, including adding API endpoints or changing logic.
  • Experience owning projects through specification, design, development, testing, deployment, release, and observability.
  • Fluent English and clear communication of complex ideas and trade-offs.

Bonus experience

  • Experience in a fast-paced scale-up or as a founding engineer is a bonus.
  • Graph or canvas-based rendering, graph or geometry editing experience is a bonus.

Location and work arrangement

  • The position is fully remote.
  • Candidates are considered in European time zones typically UTC-1 to UTC+3, or the Americas Eastern Time Zone or UTC-3.

Recruitment process

The process includes a recruiter screen, take-home challenge and follow-up, system design interview, and founders or behavioral interview.

What the company offers

  • Compensation and stock options are aligned with the company's framework, market data, and individual skills.
  • Remote work, a company laptop, remote setup stipend, co-working budget, flexible schedules, paid time off, enhanced parental leave, health and retirement benefits, and a learning budget are offered.
  • The company also provides annual workaways and regular virtual and in-person social events; some benefits may vary by location and role.
