Staff Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with team members, product owners, and designers to implement product requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Improve development processes, tools, and best practices.
• Lead the design and development of complex software solutions for cybersecurity applications.
• Oversee and mentor developers, providing technical guidance and fostering continuous improvement.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications with product managers, security analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity technologies and apply appropriate tools and techniques.
• Contribute to design specifications, user guides, and API documentation.

Required skills and experience

• 8+ years of experience in Java or Python and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with SQL and databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL; knowledge of AI tools and agent integration.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Java build tools such as Maven or Gradle, RESTful APIs, and JSON.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or TestNG.
• Knowledge of microservices, containerization such as Docker or Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of IaC, SaaS environment concepts, and queue-based architecture.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication skills, and experience in Agile environments.

Preferred skills

• Knowledge of Solr and Snowflake is preferred.
