Staff Full Stack Engineer

Role overview

Work arrangement

• This is a full-time hybrid position with one to two days per week in the office.

Day-to-day work

• Work with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and peer engineers to deliver well-scoped product features.
• Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Engineering, Product, GTM, and Customer Success.
• Advocate for and practice test-driven development to deliver reliable, high-quality software.
• Keep up with technology trends and continuously improve productivity.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript, with full-stack, high-performance, high-availability application experience.
• Strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience building scalable systems and test-driven CI/CD.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and the tradeoffs between them.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Demonstrated experience designing distributed systems.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.

Preferred skills

• Experience with Next.js or other front-end technologies is a plus.
