Job Title: Staff Field Engineer

Location: Dubai

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Field Engineer to join our growing Professional Services team. In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, guiding them through the full lifecycle of API and microservices adoption using Kong’s platform.

You will lead customer engagements from solution design and implementation to deployment and optimization, ensuring successful adoption, long-term value realization, and high customer satisfaction. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, consulting capability, and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Customer Engagement & Delivery

Lead end-to-end customer engagements across the API lifecycle (design, implementation, deployment, and optimization)

Conduct technical workshops for architects, developers, security, and operations teams

Provide hands-on implementation support for Kong API gateway and related technologies

Drive successful deployment and rollout of solutions in customer environments

Act as a technical advisor, ensuring customers achieve maximum value from Kong products

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in Professional Services / Consulting / Technical Implementation roles

Hands-on experience with API gateways and API integrations

Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API lifecycle management

Proficiency in Linux environments and development tooling

Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with application development (Java, Go, Python, or similar)

Background in API Management / Middleware / SaaS platforms

Exposure to Open Source technologies and communities

Experience working in customer-facing consulting or enterprise environments
