Role overview

Core qualifications

• The role requires 3–5 years of experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Graduation is required.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI automation is required.
• API automation experience with Playwright API, Karate, Rest Assured, Postman, or an equivalent framework is required.
• JavaScript or TypeScript proficiency and Java experience are required.
• Experience with scalable automation frameworks, RESTful APIs, backend testing, Git, Agile, and DevOps is required.

Testing responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI and API test scripts.
• Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts from business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Build, maintain, and improve reusable automation frameworks.
• Analyze and resolve automation, environment, and test execution issues.
• Review scripts and test results for compliance with automation standards.

Collaboration and improvement

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and QA colleagues to create effective test scenarios.
• Use AI-assisted tools for requirement analysis, test design, automation development, and QA productivity.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Document defects, test results, and project status, and drive continuous testing improvements.

Preferred and additional skills

• Experience with AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Windsurf is preferred.
• Additional useful experience includes CI/CD tools, build tools, performance testing, mobile automation, cross-browser testing, containers, application security testing, reporting, and cloud testing platforms.
• Knowledge of the e-commerce domain is an additional advantage.
