Sr. Software Project Manager (Scaled Agile /Device Development)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Coordinate platform and application software planning and delivery using Scaled Agile development practices.
• Lead system integration across software, firmware, instruments, peripherals, and third-party components.
• Collaborate across software, firmware, hardware, service, and research teams to resolve project needs.
• Plan concurrent hardware and software programs through integration, validation, and commercial release readiness.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction, scalability, maintainability, and product lifecycle goals.
• Communicate project status and progress metrics, and measure team performance on project tasks.

Essential requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience managing system development or integration projects with multidisciplinary embedded hardware, firmware, and control or processing software teams.
• Experience managing platforms that support multiple products, configurations, device variants, or customer workflows.
• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and risks across scope, architecture, performance, usability, reliability, maintainability, and release readiness.
• 7+ years of engineering-sector software professional and/or project management experience is preferred; experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments is strongly preferred.

Additional preferred experience

• Systems engineering and product architecture experience is a plus.
• Platform or enterprise software development experience is a plus.
• Concurrent project execution in a shared code base is a plus.

Compensation

• Annual salary range is $125,000–$135,000; the role is also eligible for bonus or incentive pay.

Workplace

• Onsite role located in Concord, Ontario.
