Role Overview
The Cloud Delivery team within Microsoft Defender helps services and product capabilities reach cloud environments quickly and reliably.
We partner with service engineering and operations teams to improve deployment pipelines, automate readiness checks, and make releases easier to validate, diagnose, and operate.
Our work also advances engineering efficiency across Defender by reducing repetitive operational work and developing reusable automation.

Qualifications - Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, OR Master’s Degree in that field AND 6+ years of such experience, OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building or supporting deployment tooling, cloud infrastructure software, CI/CD pipelines, or production services.
- Experience with Azure, infrastructure as code such as Bicep/ARM, containerized services, deployment validation, or release recovery.
- Experience with C#/.NET, Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or comparable languages and tools.
Qualifications - Other Requirements
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
