Role Overview
Syniverse is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to design and develop QA management systems and tools.
The role is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.
The engineer will help ensure software runs smoothly, meets client needs, and supports an exceptional user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify component, system integration, and application-level functionality for reliability, accuracy, performance, and quality.
- Verify, deploy, and maintain automated test cases and contribute to testing tools and frameworks.
- Support test planning, organization, execution, and delivery across the team.
- Develop test strategies and keep testing central to the software development lifecycle.
- Drive unit, integration, and system testing using Cucumber, Selenium, or other automation tools.
- Use coverage metrics, bug-prevention strategies, and other quality measures.
- Partner with developers, product managers, and test engineers to identify components for automation.
- Write moderately complex code to test systems and increase automated test coverage.
- Evaluate open-source solutions and build new testing tools.
Experience, Education, and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
- Five years of experience using test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, FitNesse, TestNG, or Selenium.
- Five years of experience with source code management systems such as CVS, Git, or Subversion.
- At least three years of experience writing tests in Java and/or developing with JUnit.
