The Senior QC Technician supports the QC department by testing products manufactured at Basingstoke to ensure they meet expected quality standards.
Duties
- Test dehydrated culture media and supplementary reagents.
- Prepare media and use autoclaves.
- Track products under test and raise issues identified during QC testing.
- Work safely, follow SOPs, and comply with company Quality Management Systems.
- Maintain good laboratory practice through cleaning, waste management, and equipment checks.
Candidate profile
- Ideally, have microbiology laboratory experience, including tasks such as pipetting, swabbing, streaking, or pouring plates.
- Demonstrate safe laboratory working, attention to detail, and a track record of following methods and SOPs.
- Show personal accountability, teamwork, and clear communication.
