Role overview
Establish accounting for newly created entities and lead integration of Commercial entities into the organization.
Oversee entity financials, reporting, local statutory requirements, audit support, and finance process development.
Reports to the Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting.
Location and work arrangement
- The posting specifies on-site work only in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
Entity accounting and reporting
- Set up chart of accounts, accounting processes, reporting, controls, AP, AR, R2R, and opening balances.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close; review journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and reporting submissions.
- Lead Commercial entity finance integration, including Group policy alignment, data validation, reporting, and controls.
Compliance and transition
- Coordinate statutory accounts, local filings, audit schedules, and external auditor requests.
- Partner with finance, tax, treasury, shared services, local teams, providers, and auditors.
- Support knowledge transfer, documentation, data migration, testing, cutover, and post-transition stabilization.
Controls and improvement
- Maintain control evidence and audit trails, address control issues, and improve finance processes, systems, controls, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or a strong Accounting, Finance or Business background with equivalent relevant experience.
