Role Summary

Mobile DevOps

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for iOS and Android.
• Automate build, test, signing, packaging, deployment, and release.
• Manage Apple certificates, provisioning profiles, App Store Connect, and TestFlight.
• Manage Android keystores, signing, Google Play Console, and production releases.
• Automate promotion across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production.
• Manage configurations, secrets, feature flags, and release parameters.
• Improve build and deployment reliability and speed.
• Implement rollback and release governance.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, security, cloud, and platform teams.
• Troubleshoot build, dependency, signing, and production release issues.

Tools and Platforms

• CI/CD and automation tools include GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Fastlane, Gradle, xcodebuild, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, and artifact repositories.
• Mobile platforms include Xcode, Apple Developer Portal, App Store Connect, TestFlight, Android SDK, Android Gradle Plugin, Android Keystore, and Google Play Console.
• Cloud and infrastructure technologies include AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, secrets management, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform or equivalent, Linux, and networking fundamentals.

Testing and Quality

• Testing and quality practices include XCTest or XCUITest, JUnit or Espresso, Appium or equivalent, API testing, static code analysis, security scanning, performance testing, crash testing, and CI/CD quality gates.

Security and Operations

• Mobile security responsibilities include secure build and release pipelines, certificate and signing-key management, secrets rotation, SAST, SCA, dependency vulnerability scanning, OWASP Mobile Application Security, secure artifact management, least-privilege access, and release traceability.
• Observability tools and practices include Firebase Crashlytics, Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch, release health monitoring, crash and ANR monitoring, deployment metrics, dashboards, incident troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

AI and GenAI

• AI capabilities include generative AI for DevOps, AI-assisted CI/CD generation and optimization, build failure and log analysis, test generation, crash and telemetry analysis, release-risk prediction, incident triage, documentation generation, RAG, AI agents, tool calling, and MCP integrations.

Programming and Collaboration

• Scripting and programming include Python, Shell or Bash, PowerShell, YAML, JSON, basic Swift, Kotlin, Java, REST APIs, and automation scripting.
• Source control and collaboration include Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, pull request workflows, branching strategies, code review automation, Jira, and Azure Boards.

Leadership and Metrics

• Define mobile DevOps standards and reusable pipeline frameworks.
• Mentor developers and DevOps engineers.
• Drive automation and reduce manual releases.
• Establish engineering KPIs.
• Lead root-cause analysis for recurring build and release problems.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering leadership on mobile platform strategy.
• Track build success, pipeline reliability, cycle time, release frequency, deployment success, change failure rate, recovery time, crash-free users, automation coverage, security remediation, and AI-assisted productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 6+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience is preferred.
• Strong hands-on iOS and/or Android CI/CD experience is preferred.
• Production mobile release experience is preferred.
• Strong scripting and automation skills are preferred.
• Cloud and DevSecOps experience is preferred.
• Practical GenAI experience in engineering or DevOps workflows is preferred.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are preferred.

Good to Have

• Fastlane, Firebase App Distribution, Bitrise, Codemagic, BrowserStack, device farms, Terraform, Kubernetes, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, RAG, vector databases, and AI agent development are good to have.
