Sr. Manager, Risk, Analytics & Technology Enablement

Salary and employment

• Salary range is CAD 165,000–198,000 annually.
• Employment status is permanent; the position is a new hire.

Position summary

Risk intelligence and analytics

• Lead risk identification, assessment, monitoring, communication and early-warning capabilities.
• Develop regulatory risk frameworks and embed risk-informed decisions in programs and continuous improvement.
• Conduct environmental scanning, trend analysis and assessments to inform strategic and operational decisions.
• Establish analytics and evaluation standards; develop dashboards, reports, models and decision-support tools.
• Assess regulatory strategies and communicate evidence and actionable insights to stakeholders.

Data governance and technology

• Serve as senior data steward for enterprise data architecture, governance, quality, standards and taxonomy.
• Develop data policies and models; oversee data quality monitoring and remediation.
• Work with the Privacy Officer and business areas on privacy, security, classification, retention and stewardship.
• Set strategic direction for technology and digital capabilities, including services, infrastructure, applications and user support.
• Evaluate technology solutions and support analytical platforms, automation, data systems and digital solutions.
• Guide evaluation and adoption of cloud solutions, APIs, advanced analytics, AI and intelligent automation.

Leadership and management

• Lead, coach and develop managers and staff; manage performance, recruitment, retention and succession planning.
• Manage budgets and organizational resources and monitor departmental performance and service delivery.
• Lead change initiatives and foster collaboration, innovation, accountability, learning and service excellence.
• Build internal and external relationships to advance strategic objectives.

Experience and qualifications

• Demonstrated risk framework and intelligence experience; regulatory, public-protection, healthcare or compliance experience is ideal.
• Experience leading analytics, business intelligence, evaluation or decision-support functions.
• Working knowledge of IT architecture, enterprise applications, integrations, cybersecurity and vendor management.
• Experience in data governance, quality, stewardship and enterprise data modelling.
• People leadership, strong communication, strategic thinking, stakeholder influence and organizational change experience.
• Eight to ten years of progressive leadership experience related to analytics, data governance, risk analysis and technology enablement.
• Related degree; a postgraduate degree is an asset or preferred.
• Health-profession regulation and outcome-based or risk-informed regulation experience are assets.
