Role Overview
The Sr Manager, R&D Finance will support the Cancer Diagnostics Division within Abbott and serves as the primary finance partner to the DVP of R&D and leadership team, providing strategic guidance on portfolio investments, resource allocation, and long-term growth initiatives.

Position Summary

This position is based in our Madison, WI office location.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to R&D leadership on strategic, operational, and investment decisions.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance management for the R&D organization.
- Drive portfolio prioritization and resource allocation decisions across product platforms and development programs.
- Develop business cases and provide financial support for acquisitions, partnerships, licensing opportunities, and other strategic initiatives.
- Deliver actionable insights that improve decision-making and help leadership evaluate risks, opportunities, and investment returns.
- Ensure financial integrity, strong controls, and effective governance across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders in innovation-driven, complex organizations.

- The base pay for this position is
- $129,300.00 – $258,700.00
