Role overview

Development and delivery

• Develop using ETL and Python frameworks, SQL, and Oracle Database.
• Develop automation using machine learning, AI, and data science techniques.
• Use Azure DevOps for build and pipeline releases.
• Prepare design and technical documents, test cases, and test results.
• Debug code and participate in code reviews to maintain quality and improve solutions.

Agile and stakeholder coordination

• Participate in sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives, and sprint reviews or demos.
• Meet delivery schedules and ensure solutions satisfy technical specifications and design requirements.
• Coordinate with program and project leads to align delivery with program objectives.
• Communicate changes, milestones, and other relevant project information.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support continuous improvement.

Risk and conduct

• Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.
• Follow applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Keep current with Python, machine learning, and AI and explore automation opportunities.

Technical skills

• Write clean, reusable code using ETL, Python, or shell scripting.
• Understand ETL data extraction, processing, and loading into Oracle databases.
• Write and execute unit tests and produce clear test results.
• Debug Informatica workflows, shell and Python scripts, and Oracle stored procedures; implement logging to identify root causes.
• Coordinate with teams and users to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• SQL and Oracle familiarity; DevOps knowledge is an added advantage.

Qualifications and ways of working

• Engineering education.
• Good understanding of Scrum roles, artifacts, ceremonies, team responsibilities, and Agile principles.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and good communication and collaboration skills.
• Basic banking knowledge and understanding of risk.
