Apple's Creativity Apps team is hiring a senior engineer to architect and build media management and collaboration features for creative tools.
The role is an early position on a new engineering team working with teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork.
Responsibilities
- Set direction and architecture for new collaborative features for creative tools.
- Build media management and collaboration features for creative apps.
- Drive features from concept through delivery.
- Work with human interface designers, quality assurance teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Influence user interface decisions and project planning.
- Mentor others and foster an open, inclusive work environment.
Minimum qualifications
- At least 5 years shipping high-quality, tested code on iOS and/or macOS.
- Technical lead experience with strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of Apple platform architecture, computer science fundamentals, and object-oriented design.
- Proficiency in Swift and at least one of SwiftUI, UIKit, or AppKit.
- Ability to work with ambiguity, own product features, and mentor others while remaining open to learning.
- Commitment to fostering an open and inclusive work environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Interest in Apple's creative apps, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, or GarageBand.
- Experience with modern Swift concurrency, including async/await and actors.
- Proficiency with Swift Testing and/or XCTest.
- Commitment to accessibility and localization.
Compensation and benefits
- The stated base pay range is $153,700 to $290,700; pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
