The Creativity Apps team seeks a senior engineer to architect and build media-management and collaboration features for creative tools.
The role works with teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork on next-generation tools for creators.
Responsibilities
- Set direction and architecture for new collaborative features in the creative space.
- Build media-management and collaboration features and drive them from concept through delivery.
- Collaborate with human interface designers, quality assurance, and cross-functional teams.
- Influence user interface decisions and project planning in addition to writing code.
- Mentor others and contribute to an open, inclusive work environment.
Minimum qualifications
- At least 5 years shipping high-quality, tested code on iOS and/or macOS.
- Technical lead experience with strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Strong knowledge of Apple platform architecture, computer science fundamentals, and object-oriented design.
- Proficiency in Swift and at least one UI framework: SwiftUI, UIKit, or AppKit.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and own product features; track record of mentoring and continued learning.
- Commitment to fostering an open and inclusive work environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Interest in creative apps including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, or GarageBand is preferred.
- Modern Swift concurrency, including async/await and actors, is preferred.
- Swift Testing and/or XCTest experience is preferred.
- Accessibility and localization experience or commitment is preferred.
Compensation and benefits
- The posted base pay range is $153,700 to $290,700; pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Benefits include medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products and services, and possible education reimbursement.
- Discretionary stock programs, bonuses or commission payments, and relocation may be available subject to eligibility and applicable terms.
