Sr IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Technical Engineer / Consultant

Role overview

Architecture and deployment

• Plan, configure, and maintain MAS 8/9+ components: MAS Manage, MAS Monitor, MAS Health, and MAS Predict.
• Work with cloud and infrastructure teams to deploy on Red Hat OpenShift, on-premises or cloud-hosted.
• Configure security, directory integration using LDAP/SAML/SSO, and role-based access controls.

Customization and integration

• Implement business logic with Automation Scripts using Jython/Python and JavaScript; customize applications using Maximo Application Designer, Database Configuration, Domains, and Workflow Designer.
• Develop workflows aligned with standard operating and maintenance procedures.
• Design MIF integrations using REST APIs, JSON, and Kafka/MQ queues; integrate with ERP, IoT/SCADA, GIS, and document repositories.
• Plan and execute data migration and schema mapping from Maximo 7.6 or external systems to MAS.

Testing and client delivery

• Conduct unit and system integration testing and support user acceptance testing.
• Provide architecture designs, interface control documents, and operational runbooks; deliver client handovers and tier-3 troubleshooting during stabilization.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on IBM Maximo experience, including at least 1–2+ years dedicated to IBM Maximo Application Suite 8.x/9.x.
• Proven experience configuring Red Hat OpenShift environments hosting Maximo Suite.
• Strong expertise in MIF, REST/JSON APIs, Web Services, and Enterprise Service Bus.
• Proficiency in Python/Jython automation scripting and SQL using Oracle DB, IBM Db2, or MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Maximo Manage Asset, Work Order, Inventory, Purchasing, and Preventive Maintenance modules.

Preferred qualifications

• IBM Certified Deployment Professional certification for Maximo Application Suite or Maximo Asset Management is preferred.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration certification is preferred.
• KSA enterprise project experience in energy/utilities, infrastructure, transportation, or giga-projects is preferred.
