Sr. Engineer, Infrastructure Projects

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of new projects and engineering needs for existing assets; apply safety priorities and company core values.
• Manage infrastructure projects involving gas transmission, onshore and offshore pipelines, and LNG loading terminal design.
• Contribute through feasibility, conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases.
• Prepare scopes for site investigations and pipeline or mooring terminal design, and for pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
• Develop or review conceptual designs, cost estimates, schedules, risks, concept selection, and detailed designs for pipelines, offshore gas export systems, and terminals.
• Manage contractors and vendors and coordinate internal resources to define scope, schedule, and budget.
• Analyze and report on contractual project-control and scheduling requirements; review consultant submissions for agreement and design-standard compliance.
• Schedule subcontracted work and monitor work quality; support or oversee fabrication, fit testing, and system integration testing.
• Manage internal and external interfaces; support permitting documentation and project risk analysis, evaluation, remediation, and data integration.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Ocean, or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least five years of design, project engineering, and construction experience in marine or offshore industries.
• Strong written and verbal communication; computer proficiency including MS Office and MS Project or Primavera.
• Hands-on AutoCAD and engineering design software experience, including technical drawings, layouts, schematics, P&IDs, and GA drawings.
• Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups.
• Able to adapt and maintain relationships in diverse, multicultural environments.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills; deliver work within schedule and budget while maintaining quality and safety.
• Written and spoken Arabic fluency is preferred; prior LNG and/or FSRU project experience is preferred.

Travel and work environment

• Travel may be required up to 20%.
• The stated work environment has a usually moderate noise level; physical demands include periods of sitting and occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is based.
