Project HSE responsibilities
- Implement and monitor project HSE plans, procedures, and policies; ensure local and international regulatory compliance.
- Lead HSE activities at offshore and onshore project sites.
- Conduct risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP, job safety analyses, and toolbox talks.
- Monitor safe work practices and permit-to-work systems; conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare reports.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and safety training.
- Liaise with project management, contractors, and clients, and promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of HSE experience in oil and gas projects.
- Proven offshore project experience, including platforms, FPSO, offshore construction, or drilling support.
- Strong knowledge of international HSE standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Familiarity with offshore safety regulations and permit systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
