Role overview

Requirements and solution delivery

• Plan, manage, and lead delivery of system requirements in line with standards and frameworks.
• Elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and manage functional and non-functional requirements with stakeholders.
• Assess current technology capabilities and support future-state design and recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine solutions and assess impacts on processes, systems, and integrations.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
• Maintain requirements traceability through design, development, testing, and deployment, with acceptance criteria aligned to stakeholder expectations.
• Support test teams in creating conditions and expected results for product, performance, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing.

Delivery support and collaboration

• Provide guidance on delivery quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation.
• Support operational and process analysis, change management, operational readiness, implementation, and post-implementation activities.
• Contribute to business cases, benefits identification, vendor RFI/RFPs, and service-level agreements.
• Share expertise, support knowledge transfer, mentor colleagues, and maintain stakeholder and partner relationships.

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.
• 6–8 years of experience as a business systems analyst or in a similar business analyst/systems analyst role.
• Advanced knowledge of Mainframe capabilities, limitations, and best practices; hands-on experience is preferred.
• Proficiency writing detailed JIRA user stories with acceptance criteria using Gherkin and maintaining documentation in Confluence.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to engage stakeholders and lead consensus on requirements and related questions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis of complex issues.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and coach and guide team members.
• Experience working with external vendors is preferred.

Compensation

• The stated base pay range is $81,600–$115,200 CAD; the description does not specify a pay cadence.
