Collaborate with the software development team on design, coding, testing, and maintenance of critical software components.
Work with senior team members on project delivery, technical problem-solving, and architectural decisions.
Essential job functions
- Design, code, and test software solutions, focusing on developing and maintaining critical components.
- Participate in design and code reviews and help meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot development problems and diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Develop and document software requirements and specifications.
- Debug complex production issues with senior engineers and support teams.
- Research emerging technologies and best practices and propose innovative solutions.
- Assist in mentoring junior team members and share knowledge.
- Take ownership of challenging technical tasks and contribute to architectural decisions.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
- Typically four or more years of relevant industry experience, including at least one year in a similar role.
- Proficiency in one or more software languages and development methodologies.
- Proficiency in coding and debugging complex software components.
- Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional qualifications
- An advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
- Relevant certifications or training are a plus.
