ServiceNow Solution / Platform Architect

Position summary

Experience and education

• Requires 6+ years of relevant technology and ServiceNow experience, including 2+ years in a ServiceNow architecture or similar role.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Requires hands-on delivery of ServiceNow solutions across full implementation lifecycles.

Architecture and delivery responsibilities

• Own solution and platform architecture across ITSM, ITOM, and enterprise workflows; define platform principles, standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Govern CMDB/CSDM strategy, data models, platform security, integrations, configuration standards, and reusable capabilities.
• Lead discovery, workshops, design reviews, implementation-lifecycle governance, and translation of business and technical requirements into scalable solutions.
• Define upgrade and lifecycle strategies; ensure performance, scalability, security, maintainability, and upgrade safety.
• Review designs, integrations, configurations, applications, and documentation; support technical issue resolution and platform optimization.
• Guide and mentor delivery teams and collaborate with application, integration, infrastructure, security, cloud, and architecture teams.

Technical requirements

• Requires ServiceNow architecture, ITSM, ITOM, CMDB/CSDM, platform security, roles, access controls, and governance experience.
• Requires JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST APIs, SOAP web services, and enterprise integration knowledge.
• Requires experience with scoped applications, configuration/customization standards, upgrades, platform optimization, and technical governance.
• Requires architecture diagrams, technical designs, integration designs, and platform documentation.

Certifications and additional qualifications

• CSA and one or more CIS certifications are required.
• CAD certification is preferred; CTA or CMA certification is highly desirable; ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
• Large-scale enterprise ServiceNow implementation or transformation experience is preferred.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, stakeholder-management, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are required.
