Role Overview

Technology Organization

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship LLM-powered and agentic product features that change how customers manage their finances.
• Build agentic systems that reason over context, invoke tools, take actions, and recover gracefully from failure.
• Implement production-grade RAG pipelines over sensitive financial data with correctness, auditability, and safety controls.
• Contribute to shared LLM services, agent orchestration frameworks, and evaluation and monitoring tooling.
• Own production reliability, latency, cost, and failure modes for delivered systems.
• Work with product and design partners and focus on customer outcomes.

Technical Environment

• Core languages include Python, Go, and TypeScript.
• Cloud and infrastructure technologies include AWS or GCP and Kubernetes.
• Services use REST and gRPC APIs and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
• The AI environment includes commercial and open-source LLMs, retrieval, vector storage, evaluation, schema validation, and state management.
• AI-assisted development workflows support design, implementation, testing, debugging, and refactoring.
• Systems must meet high standards for reliability, security, and auditability in financial services.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including meaningful production experience with LLMs or applied ML systems.
• Track record of shipping AI-powered or agentic systems that real users depend on.
• Strong fundamentals across backend systems, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with modern LLM tooling and agentic patterns and architectures.
• Fluency with AI-assisted and agentic development workflows.
• Strong ownership, sound technical judgment, comfort with ambiguity, product mindset, and customer orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building agentic systems in fintech or another regulated industry is preferred.
• Founding engineer or early technical contributor experience in high-growth environments is preferred.
• Meaningful open-source contributions in AI or developer tooling are preferred.
• Experience with React, Kotlin, TypeScript, CircleCI, iOS or Swift, and Android is preferred.
