Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and ship LLM-powered and agentic product features for customer financial management.
• Build agents that reason over context, invoke tools, take actions, and recover from failures.
• Develop production RAG pipelines over sensitive financial data with correctness, auditability, and safety controls.
• Contribute to shared LLM services, orchestration frameworks, and AI evaluation and monitoring tools.
• Own production reliability, latency, cost, and failure modes.
• Partner with product and design teams and deliver toward customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of software engineering experience, including production experience with LLMs or applied ML.
• Track record shipping AI-powered or agentic systems used by real users.
• Strong backend, API, data-pipeline, and cloud-infrastructure fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with LLM tooling and agentic patterns and architectures.
• Fluency with AI-assisted and agentic development workflows.
• Strong ownership, technical judgment, ability to navigate ambiguity, and a customer-oriented product mindset.

Technical environment

• Languages include Python, Go, and TypeScript; cloud and infrastructure include AWS and/or GCP and Kubernetes.
• APIs and services include REST and gRPC; distributed systems include event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
• AI environment includes commercial and open-source LLMs, orchestration, RAG, vector storage, evaluation, and schema, validation, and state management practices.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for design, implementation, testing, debugging, and refactoring while maintaining production-quality standards.
• Systems are expected to meet high reliability, security, and auditability standards.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience building agentic systems in fintech or other regulated industries is preferred.
• Founding-engineer or early technical-contributor experience in a high-growth environment is preferred.
• Experience delivering complex regulated systems relied on by customers and meaningful open-source AI or developer-tooling contributions are preferred.
