Key responsibilities
- Maintain, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
- Monitor cash flow and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities for timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
- Analyze financial data, budgets, and variances to identify trends, control costs, and support decisions.
- Coordinate with departments on accurate and timely financial information.
- Support internal and external audits with schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor queries.
- Improve internal controls and accounting procedures for accuracy, efficiency, and risk management.
- Review transactions and supporting documents for classification, authorization, and compliance.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- At least five years of relevant accounting experience in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
- CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA certification is preferred.
- A strong real estate background is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
