Reporting to the Rehabilitation Team Leader, the Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing and treating patients with swallowing, speech and language disorders by utilising best practices in patient healthcare in adherence with DOH and Amana Healthcare policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.
They will manage an Inpatient and/or Outpatient Department caseload depending on operational requirements which is why the candidate will require paediatric and/or adult speciality and dysphagia competencies.

Desirable
Postgraduate training or certifications in dysphagia, instrumental swallowing assessment, tracheostomy management, cognitive communication, or neurological rehabilitation.
Experience in quality improvement, research, clinical audit, or service development initiatives.
Experience supervising junior therapists, students, or support staff.
Experience delivering education, training, and contributing to clinical guideline development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Speech Pathology, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Current professional licensure/registration with a relevant regulatory authority (e.g., HCPC, CORU, DOH, DHA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience, including senior-level clinical experience in rehabilitation, neurological, medical, or post-acute care settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in adult neurorehabilitation, including assessment and management of communication, cognitive-communication, swallowing disorders, dysphagia, tracheostomy, stroke, and acquired brain injury.
- Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills with the ability to independently manage a complex caseload and demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.
