Specialist – Financial Markets

About This Role

Objective:

To deliver timely, high‑quality financial market, company, and industry insights that support senior management decision‑making, by leveraging deep fundamental analysis, rigorous research, and clear communication. The role aims to proactively identify risks and opportunities across global markets while contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing research environment under demanding timelines.

Essential Duties:

• Work within the team to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Be responsible for the production of regular reports on companies, industries, or other themes deemed important to senior management.
• Responsible for sourcing, cleaning up, managing, and maintaining relevant databases and datasets required for the regular production of reports.
• Monitor global financial news and market trends to provide timely insights and recommendations.
• Conduct in-depth market, company and industry analysis, identifying opportunities and risks.
• Review and analyze financial statements, board materials, and corporate information, and provide strategic advice.
• Contribute materially to the production of ad hoc reports for senior management (both proactive and reactive type reports).

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of financial markets, economics, and industry trends.
• Intermediate financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Intermediate research skills and ability to clearly communicate complex events and findings.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to write succinct and insightful reports and presentations.
• Ability to coordinate team members and support stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, Excel and other financial analysis tools.

Experience & Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance or similar field, and/or
• MBA in finance or Master’s degree in Finance or related fields, and/or
• CFA.
• Work experience of 6 years in equity research, investor relations, portfolio management or related fields such as strategy consulting, corporate advisory, investment banking, hedge funds, or private equity.

Other

• International background: the candidate has lived, studied and/or worked in countries other than his/her own (preferably in the US, UK or Europe).
• Currently residing in Abu Dhabi or the UAE is a plus.

Languages

• Native or Fluent in English (required).
• Native or Fluent in Arabic is a plus.
