Role overview
The Specialist Otolaryngologist (ENT) provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care to adult and pediatric patients with ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions.
The role includes ENT procedures within scope of practice and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage adult and pediatric ENT conditions; assess patients, plan treatment, and provide follow-up.
- Perform procedures and surgery within clinical privileges and professional competency.
- Manage hearing, sinus, allergic, tonsillar, voice, vertigo, sleep-related, and head and neck conditions.
- Interpret audiology, imaging, and endoscopic investigations and provide emergency ENT care when required.
- Educate patients and families, maintain accurate documentation, collaborate across care teams, and participate in quality initiatives and audits.
- Follow organizational and regulatory standards, including HealthPlus, DOH, and DHA guidelines.
Qualifications and experience
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution and recognized ENT specialty training.
- Recognized specialty certification, such as Board, Arab Board, European Board, CCT, CCST, American Board, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization ENT experience.
- Eligible for DOH or DHA licensure as a Specialist Otolaryngologist.
- Demonstrated ENT diagnostic and procedural expertise, strong clinical and communication skills, and commitment to evidence-based, safe, quality care.
