Role overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, assessments, and physical examinations; diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
• Create individualized care plans, prescribe medications, and monitor treatment effectiveness and outcomes.
• Provide screenings, vaccinations, lifestyle counselling, and patient and family education.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Refer patients as appropriate, manage follow-ups, and support continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and patient safety programmes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and comply with policies, professional standards, and regulations.

Qualifications and requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited internship.
• At least 2 years of GP clinical experience in a hospital, medical centre, or primary healthcare setting.
• Eligibility for or possession of a DOH, DHA, or MOH licence to practise in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of primary care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management.
• Excellent patient-centred communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuing professional development.
