Specialist/ Consultant Spine Surgeon

Overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including clinical examinations and diagnostic imaging
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with spinal disorders
• Perform various spinal surgeries, emphasizing minimally invasive procedures when appropriate
• Oversee pre-operative and post-operative patient care to ensure optimal recovery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care
• Educate patients and their families on diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care
• Stay updated on advances in spine surgery and apply new knowledge into practice
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations

Requirements

• Medical degree from a recognized institution
• Completion of residency training in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery
• Board certification or eligibility in Spine Surgery preferred
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in spine surgery
• Expertise in a range of spinal surgical techniques, including minimally invasive methods
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with patients and colleagues
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Commitment to continuous professional development and life-long learning
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
