Provide a comprehensive Cardiology service for the hospital and its clinics.
Coordinate day-to-day care with the consultant and manage a caseload across outpatient, inpatient, and day-case facilities.
Clinical responsibilities
- Investigate and manage patients with known or suspected disorders requiring cardiology expertise and provide expert opinions.
- Diagnose and treat patients according to cardiology best practice; review investigation results promptly and modify treatment as needed.
- Follow outpatient, day-care, inpatient, discharge, and follow-up protocols and comply with UAE medical health authority requirements.
- Document patient information accurately, communicate medical information to patients and families, and liaise with other specialties and support services.
Governance and administration
- Attend relevant clinical meetings and contribute to clinical governance, audit, risk management, risk reporting, and organizational standards.
- Maintain continuing professional development and evidence-based practice through courses and study days.
- Manage time, workload, and resources; contribute to computer-based patient records and maintain confidentiality.
- Support and guide junior team members when required.
Education and experience
- UAE Medical Health Authority license (DHA).
- MBBS and a Master’s degree, postgraduate qualification, or diploma in a related specialty.
- At least five years of clinical practice in a similar setting.
- CCT or recognized specialist training is preferable.
- Resuscitation certificate appropriate to the specialty and active ongoing CPD.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and comply with regulatory requirements.
