Overview
The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting in the daily kitchen operations of the Mandi restaurant, including the central kitchen and all 3 branches.
The role includes supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food quality, controlling stock, and ensuring hygiene and safety standards are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food preparation and cooking in the central kitchen and branches.
- Ensure all Mandi dishes and menu items are prepared according to company standards.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation before serving.
- Coordinate food production and dispatch from the central kitchen to branches.
- Support in managing kitchen operations and staff scheduling.
- Train and guide kitchen staff on cooking methods and hygiene standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and food safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Reduce food wastage and control kitchen costs.
- Handle kitchen issues and support branch operations whenever required.
- Ensure all equipment is properly used and maintained.
- Assist during busy operations, catering events, and special functions.
Requirements
- Experience as Sous Chef or Senior Chef in Mandi or Yemeni or Arabic cuisine restaurant.
- Good knowledge of Mandi preparation and cooking methods.
- Ability to manage multiple kitchen operations and teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and flexible timings.
- Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
