The Sourcing Intern will gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, market research, and procurement operations.
The role supports day-to-day purchasing activities and works with procurement professionals on supplier identification, quotation evaluation, cost analysis, and sourcing initiatives.
The internship is intended for students or recent graduates developing commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and procurement knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and updated purchasing records, data, and pricing in the system.
- Execute and monitor regular purchasing duties.
- Coordinate with user departments and suppliers on assigned purchasing activities.
- Assist with local and overseas orders.
- Handle claims involving defective, short, or missing items.
- Support departments with quotations for tenders.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and documents according to company policies.
- Negotiate purchasing packages covering quality, price, terms, delivery, and service.
- Purchase and issue orders according to specifications.
- Plan and manage inventory levels.
- Source new parts, suppliers, or subcontractors and coordinate deliveries.
Education and Experience
- University graduation is required.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in a relevant field is required.
- The role requires using experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- General computer literacy is required.
Language Requirements
- English is required.
- Arabic and French are listed as additional languages and are a plus.
Accountability
Source, select, and negotiate purchasing packages with suppliers.
Monitor and coordinate supplier deliveries to ensure items reach the site or store on time.
Register vendors and modify vendor bank data for Middle East entities.
