Responsibilities

  • Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.

Requirements

  • Proper scan and load techniques Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs. Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a time sensitive environment Willingness to work as part of a team Attention to process, quality and/or operational standards Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required Experience Specialized education is not required. No experience necessary.
  • Distribution Centers Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders.
