Role overview

Responsibilities

• Perform examinations according to physician requests and established protocols.
• Obtain high-quality images of organs, tissues, blood vessels, and other anatomical structures.
• Explain procedures to patients and support their comfort and cooperation.
• Review patient medical histories and confirm relevant clinical information before examinations.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Complete ultrasound reports and patient records accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis.
• Follow infection control procedures, radiation safety principles where applicable, and departmental policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications and requirements

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Imaging, or a related field is required.
• A valid professional license or eligibility for licensure is required, as applicable to the relevant healthcare authority.
• Previous diagnostic ultrasound experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound techniques, anatomy, and pathology is required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team is required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional standards are required.

Skills

• Diagnostic ultrasound imaging, patient assessment and care, image acquisition and optimization, medical documentation, communication, teamwork, time management, organization, professional ethics, and confidentiality.

Compensation

• Pay is listed as AED 4,500–5,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work location is in person.
• Own visa is preferred.
