- Location: UAE-based preferred; hybrid working with on-site presence required for kickoff, UAT, deployment and handover milestones.

- Reporting Line: Programme Director, Platform Delivery.
- **Key Collaborators:**
- Engineering Leads (SSP / DSP / Ad Server / Ops Portal), Product Owner, Ad Operations Lead, Infrastructure Lead, Security Lead, Client Architecture Council.
Role Summary
The Solution Architect will own the end-to-end technical architecture of the platform from blueprint through go live.
This is a senior, hands-on architect role combining deep Ad-Tech and programmatic domain expertise with strong distributed-systems design, on-premises enterprise delivery experience, and the leadership discipline to deliver to plan.
The role partners closely with the Programme Director, Engineering Leads, Product, Ad Operations, Security and Infrastructure teams — and is accountable for translating business intent into a resilient, secure, scalable on-prem solution that the client team can operate confidently after handover.
Experience
- 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a Solution / Software Architect role on production systems.
- Demonstrable end-to-end ownership of at least one large-scale Ad-Tech platform (SSP, DSP, Ad Server or Ad Exchange) from blueprint to production.
- Hands-on experience delivering systems with stringent latency SLAs (sub-100ms auction or serving paths) at meaningful scale.
- Proven on-premises enterprise delivery experience — not exclusively public-cloud SaaS — including DMZ patterns, hardened deployments and customer-data-centre constraints.
Ad-Tech Domain Depth
- OpenRTB 2.x specification fluency (request/response, macros, extensions); familiarity with OpenRTB for DOOH desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of RTB auction mechanics, Prebid, Header Bidding, deal-based selling and PMP.
- Experience integrating with at least two of: Google DV360, The Trade Desk, HiveStack, Criteo, MediaMath, Xandr.
- Familiarity with Proof of Play, viewability, IVT, brand safety and ad-verification ecosystems.
- Awareness of privacy and aggregated-demographics handling (no-PII designs).
Technical Stack
- Languages & Frameworks: Java + Spring Boot, and/or Node.js. Polyglot comfort preferred.
- APIs & Protocols: REST, gRPC, OpenRTB 2.x, VAST/VPAID; API-first design discipline.
- Data & Streaming: PostgreSQL / TimescaleDB, Apache Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch; familiarity with data-lake / event-store patterns.
- Cloud-Native & Infra: Kubernetes (on-prem expertise essential), Docker, API Gateway (Kong / NGINX), Linux.
- Security: SSO / LDAP, OAuth2 / OIDC, TLS, encryption at rest, RBAC, audit logging.
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry.
- Frontend Awareness: Sufficient understanding of React / Angular SPA architectures to govern presentation layer decisions (not hands-on UI delivery).
