Senior Solar Epc Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Attend client meetings and conduct site visits for residential, commercial, industrial, and warehouse solar projects.
• Assess roof conditions, available space, electrical rooms, DBs, cable routes, access points, shading, and installation feasibility.
• Collect and review DEWA bills, load details, drawings, roof plans, client requirements, and site information.
• Coordinate solar PV designs, layouts, SLDs, BOQs, system sizing, generation estimates, and technical submissions.
• Prepare and review technical and commercial proposals with strong attention to detail.
• Support authority approval requirements, including DEWA/Shams Dubai processes where applicable.
• Coordinate with procurement for panels, inverters, mounting structures, cables, protection devices, and other project materials.
• Follow up with suppliers, internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects moving on schedule.
• Support project execution from inquiry stage through proposal, approval, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Respond professionally to client technical and commercial questions.

Requirements

• Experience in solar EPC projects in the UAE is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of rooftop solar PV systems.
• Knowledge of DEWA solar requirements and UAE authority processes is a major advantage.
• Ability to prepare/review proposals, BOQs, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Experience with AutoCAD, PVsyst, SketchUp, Helioscope, or similar solar design tools.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of project costing, savings, payback, and procurement.
• UAE driving license is preferred.
• Fluent English is required; Arabic is a plus.
• AST Advanced Energy Solutions is looking for a Senior Solar EPC Project Engineer to join our growing team in the UAE.
• We are looking for someone with strong experience in the UAE solar market, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of projects from the first client meeting through proposal, design coordination, procurement follow-up, and execution support.
• This is not a purely office-based design role.
• The ideal candidate must be confident meeting clients, conducting site visits, understanding technical requirements, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring every project moves forward accurately and professionally.
