Software Engineer, Xcode Cloud

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and build Xcode Cloud's web experience in collaboration with Human Interface designers and server engineers.
• Build interfaces that support build management, parallel testing, tester distribution, and acting on feedback.
• Treat performance, security, privacy, and accessibility as core requirements.
• Help shape daily workflows for developers shipping apps for Apple's platforms.

Minimum qualifications

• At least three years of professional experience building large-scale web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong grasp of web fundamentals, including accessibility and performance.
• Experience with automated testing, code review, and continuous delivery.
• Experience communicating with customers and collaborating across design and engineering teams, including multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related industry experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with a component-based UI framework such as React.
• Familiarity with monorepo tools such as Turborepo or Nx, and experience integrating web service APIs.
• Exposure to iOS or macOS development with Swift, Objective-C, or C/C++.
• Fluency with AI assistants and agentic coding workflows; enthusiasm for great design.

Pay and benefits

• The base pay range is $119,100 to $230,500; pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

• The role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments and relocation support.
