Role Overview
Early-career Software Engineer role supporting development and maintenance of web applications.
The position works across front-end and back-end technologies and includes exposure to generative AI application development.
Responsibilities
- Develop front-end applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and preferably ReactJS.
- Develop back-end services with Python or Node.js using AWS infrastructure.
- Build or integrate generative AI, LLM, agentic workflow, RAG, or AI orchestration applications.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to translate user needs into technical requirements.
- Write tested code, participate in reviews, maintain uptime, and learn new technologies.
Basic Qualifications
- Meet one education and experience pathway: master's degree; bachelor's plus 2 years; associate's plus 6 years; or high school diploma/GED plus 8 years of software development experience.
- Hands-on web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Backend development with Python and SQL plus SQL or NoSQL database experience.
- Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with API integration, serverless systems, microservices, generative AI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, LangChain, LlamaIndex, prompt engineering, or model fine-tuning.
- Experience with DevOps CI/CD, design patterns, data structures, or test-driven development.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or another engineering field.
- Cloud computing certificate.
