Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Ruby to work on a part-time basis.

This role involves hands-on software engineering work, including development environment automation, issue triaging, and evaluating test coverage and quality for LLM evaluation and repository validation projects.

As a senior software engineer, you will contribute to building high-quality public GitHub repositories and evaluate how LLMs interact with real code, influencing the future of AI-assisted software development.

This is a unique opportunity to blend practical software engineering with AI research in one of the world's fastest-growing AI companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries, identifying and prioritizing tasks for LLM evaluation and repository validation.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software engineering tools and frameworks for automating development environments, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement LLM evaluation and repository validation strategies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Evaluate and improve test coverage and quality for LLM evaluation and repository validation tasks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of AI-assisted software development tools and platforms, working closely with AI researchers and engineers to integrate LLMs with software development workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Ruby programming language, with experience in software engineering, development environment automation, and issue triaging.
  • Strong understanding of GitHub repositories, including version control systems, collaborative development workflows, and issue tracking.
  • Experience with LLM evaluation and repository validation, including developing and evaluating test coverage and quality for AI-assisted software development tasks.
  • Familiarity with AI research and development, including natural language processing, machine learning, and software engineering for AI applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
