Software Engineer (.NET)

Role overview

Development and delivery

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core; implement business logic and clean software design.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, third-party services, and external systems; ensure API security, reliability, and performance.
• Design and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and database objects while maintaining data integrity and efficient access.
• Write unit tests, review code, troubleshoot defects, and follow coding standards.
• Support releases, deployment, and maintenance; optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with development, QA, business analysis, and stakeholder teams; participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, databases, and implementation details.

Required qualifications and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional .NET software development experience.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Entity Framework Core, and LINQ.
• Knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, version control, unit testing, debugging, RESTful API design, authentication, and authorization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, or Azure DevOps is preferred.
• Docker, containerization, microservices, Agile methodologies, and application performance monitoring experience are preferred.
