Software Engineer II
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated early-career engineer to support the development of an advanced software platform focused on cost planning, simulation, and early feasibility evaluation of sheet metal components.
This role is ideally suited for candidates with a strong background in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a related technical discipline who have some experience developing in C++ and embrace AI as a core element of their software development practice.
Successful candidates are expected to be AI-native developers, leveraging modern AI tools, coding assistants, agent frameworks, and structured reasoning techniques throughout the software lifecycle—from requirements analysis and system decomposition to implementation, testing, and maintenance.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in Python, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and agent-based architectures. They are comfortable breaking complex engineering problems into manageable components and designing robust solutions that integrate AI capabilities into product workflows. This position will be on site in our Burlington (Ontario) office.
