Role overview

The posting describes a Lead Software Engineer role on the development team in Bengaluru.

The role focuses on backend software and services for the agreement platform and an architectural shift to support growth.

The position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design solutions for scale and build fault-tolerant systems.
  • Develop testable, high-quality, release-ready code with ample test coverage.
  • Work with Product Management and developers to translate engineering requirements into design requirements and provide estimates.
  • Collaborate with a cross-site development team on design, implementation, testing, development, and product release.
  • Build next-generation backend software and services for enterprise customer scenarios.

Work arrangement

  • Hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum of two office days per week; frequency may vary by team but there is a weekly in-office expectation.

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of development experience building large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with C#, .NET Core, SQL databases, and designing large-scale distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience building or consuming RESTful web services; experience with microservice architecture; or experience shipping highly available, scalable services on Azure.
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle, including version control (Git), build processes, testing, and code release.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment; Agile and test-driven development knowledge; and ability to move across technology stacks.
  • Interest in highly available sites and learning new software technologies.
