The employer is hiring a Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineer to create reliable, scalable, high-quality software applications.
The role works with product, design, QA, and technical teams to translate business needs into software and improve systems and technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications; write clean, documented, maintainable code and follow established standards.
- Build web and mobile applications, backend services, APIs, and software components; integrate third-party services and systems.
- Collaborate across functions, participate in the software lifecycle and Agile activities, and conduct code reviews.
- Troubleshoot defects and performance problems; optimize security, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Create unit, integration, and automated tests; work with QA to resolve defects and confirm requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation, specifications, architecture records, and development guidelines.
- Work with databases, support deployments, upgrades, and production maintenance, and research tools and technologies for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven Software Engineer, Software Developer, or similar experience and strong software engineering and application development fundamentals.
- Proficiency in at least one language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, C++, or Go; relevant frameworks, libraries, and tools.
- Understanding of web technologies, APIs, databases, client-server architecture, relational databases, Git, testing, debugging, and code quality.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to write maintainable code and meet deadlines.
- Security, performance, and scalability knowledge is required; NoSQL experience is advantageous.
- Agile or Scrum, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and automated deployment tools are advantageous.
- A related bachelor's degree is preferred; project portfolios, open-source contributions, or practical development experience are advantageous.
