Software Engineer 2 - C# + Azure

Overview

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
• Identify dependencies and develop design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
• Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
• Use product-feature expertise and partner with stakeholders to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, guide engineers, monitor services for degradation or outages, communicate status, and initiate restoration actions.
• Apply new knowledge and technical patterns to improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, and consistent operations at scale.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of professional development experience.
• Technical stack includes C++, C#, big data, machine learning, natural language processing, and search technologies.
• Strong analytical skills, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud Services, including Azure, Entra, and Microsoft 365.
• Security awareness, including penetration testing and threat analysis.
• Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications

• Preferred: self-identification as a technical software engineer passionate about cloud technologies and AI.
• Previous experience as a software development engineer and work with agile, diverse, or geographically dispersed engineering teams are preferred.
• Understanding of cloud, AI, and other computing technologies, including business drivers and emerging trends, is preferred.
• A self-starting approach, relationship-building with senior technical and business leaders, and strong verbal and written communication, including English fluency, are preferred.
