South Bow is seeking a Software Development Co-op Student for a 12-month work term beginning January 2027.
What you'll do
- Develop reusable software components, templates, and accelerators for custom applications.
- Explore AI-assisted techniques for coding, testing, documentation, and analysis.
- Support consistent development patterns, coding practices, and technical design approaches.
- Identify dependencies, integration points, and risks associated with application changes.
- Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and knowledge assets.
- Work with software developers, business analysts, and technical leads on enhancements and future platform capabilities.
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
- Find opportunities to automate repetitive development, support, and operational tasks.
- Support modernization and technical readiness, including potential Prairie Connector functionality.
- Research AI, automation, and software engineering practices and recommend practical uses.
Minimum requirements
- Actively enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program focused on Software Development, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Must actively participate in the institution's co-op program.
- Transcripts must be provided upon application.
